Die etwa 25 cm große Wacholderdrossel gehört zu den buntesten Drosseln Europas. Nicht selten begegnet man ihr in Schwärmen, besonders während des Vogelzuges. Doch sie ist ein vorsichtiger, argwöhnischer Vogel, wohl weil man ihr früher massenhaft nachstellte, denn sie galt als Delikatesse. Der alte englische Name feldefare bedeutet übersetzt vermutlich "Reisende durch die Felder".
The fieldfare, which is about 25 cm tall, is one of the most colourful thrushes in Europe. It is not uncommon to see flocks of them, especially during migration. But it is a cautious, wary bird, maybe because it used to be hunted en masse, as it was considered a delicacy. The old English name feldefare probably means "traveller through the fields".

The original of this drawing was created on Fabriano BLACK artist paper, a deep black, velvety-matt paper with a wonderfully soft surface that perfectly brings out the luminosity of the Caran d'Ache Luminance colour pencils.
Den Druck übernahm eine auf Fine Art spezialisierte Druckerei aus dem sächsischen Leipzig. Dafür wurde das Original professionell digitalisiert, um ein lupenreines Druckergebnis zu erzielen. Die so entstandenen Kunstdrucke kommen dadurch ganz nah an das Original heran - sowohl optisch als auch haptisch.
The printing was done by a print shop specialising in fine art print in Leipzig, Saxony. The original was professionally digitised to achieve a flawless print result. The resulting art prints thus come very close to the original - both optically and haptically.
