Das auffälligste Merkmal dieser Vogelart ist die leuchtend blaue Kehle der Männchen, auf der sich zumeist ein kleiner Fleck befindet - der Stern. Er kann weiß oder rot sein. Man spricht dann vom Weißsternigen oder Rotsternigen Blaukehlchen. Manchmal gibt es auch keinen Stern. Schön bleibt das Blaukehlchen trotzdem.
The most striking feature of this bird species is the bright blue throat of the males, on which there is usually a small spot. Depending on the colour, we then speak of the white-spotted or red-spotted bluethroat. And sometimes there is no spot at all. Nevertheless, the bluethroat remains a truly beautiful bird.
